One of the Wonders of Nature “Natural Pool” of Mahajanga…

I am living in Mahajanga, and that is the first time of my life I am going to this unique place . Many persons have been to this pool and I was craving to see it as many pictures were showing its wild beauty !

So, this day , the 01st of november, we decided to go there before the season of rain comes , as it can destroy totally the road. Early morning at 6 am, we packed our stuff, food, and petrol and drived toward the Caves of Anjohibe which is at about 80 km from the Mahajanga town. Nearby the Caves, exists this unique , serene, little lake, called here “natural pool” : when I reached it , I had just this word : “OMG” so much beauty and so serene place which I never been while it is near in my town !

Caves of Anjohibe Mahajanga

I will try to put in words what i felt when I discover it : it is just a quiet place where you can sit on its bank and contemplate the emerald green color of the water surrounded by trees mostly the Ravinalas trees ! We first sat for a while and after we jumped on the pool , so clear and transparent water ! It was a pure joy , it is a Heaven on earth !

The bottom of the pool is not sand but wet rock, but not sharp , just soft on which you can put your feet and swim ..The temperature of the water is just warm , it was just a delight ! There was noone there, only we were there enjoying the silence and the ripple of the water and our whispers !

It was like a dream this place…It is not so far from the center of Mahajanga, about 80 km from my home.
